Once you have won the treasure you can continue your trip at Penelope’s Pumpkinfish Patch to watch the rare Pumpkinfish swim in their own little world. Last, but certainly not least, the Mermaid’s Grotto will be opened so kids will get to meet the beautiful Capriand her gorgeous friend Allure!
SeaWorld will also be celebrating Christmas this year with Shamu’s new Christmas Show and the advent of SnowWorld. Come and play in real snow in the middle of the desert! Clyde and Seamore will be showing off their new Night Before Christmas routine in the Sea Lions show so make sure you stop by because they have been working hard. The PolarExpress will be showing every day in December in 4D so it will feel like you are really getting into the Christmas Spirit firsthand on this adventure. December in San Diego is one of the most celebrated holiday seasons on the West Coast. It kicks off on December 7th-8th with the largest free festival, December Nights, in all of San Diego. For fans of the Arts there is a Downtown Art Walk every Thursday throughout the year. The Art Walk takes place on Main St. and Marshall Way which is only 15 minutes away from our property. The Art Walk is a great opportunity to experience downtown Scottsdale and get out and about for a few hours. While you are walking around looking at all of the great galleries be sure to check out the other businesses. There are many delicious restaurants along the Walk where you can stop for a bite to eat or a glass of wine. There are also different free outdoor concerts and performances throughout the year during the Art Walk and activities for children so it is a great place for a Date Night or Family Night! Also located in Scottsdale and only about 10 minutes away is the Desert Stages Theater. Troupes from all over and all age groups put on performances year round and the tickets are very inexpensive. There are many different festivals that happen during the fall season. For fans of the Equestrian way of life there are many different horse shows during the months of September through December. The Bump and Grind trail has a lot of switch-backs and is popular year round. This is a great area for beginners as there is little chance of ending up alone and help is always nearby. Also nearby are the Homestead, the Gabby Hayes, the Connector and the Hopalong Cassidy trails which are great for intermediate and expert hikers. For the history buffs out there, you could visit the Holocaust Memorial or the Peace memorial and learn more about the way life was during those time periods. For the art fans there is an impressive public art collection that you can tour or visit by yourself. There is also a concession building a skate park, children’s play ground, an amphitheater, a dog park, volleyball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, and basketball courts.
